Overview
The 142 Pears Avenue Building Envelope Rehabilitation project modernized and enhanced the long-term performance of the building through the replacement of aging exterior cladding systems and related structural repairs. The scope included the removal of existing wood cladding, masonry repairs, concrete restoration, installation of new EIFS, metal and fibre cement cladding systems, and the replacement of terrace and catwalk railings with new aluminum and glass assemblies. The project successfully improved the building’s appearance, weather resistance, and overall durability while meeting current building code requirements.
Our Approach
Our team carefully coordinated the removal of the existing façade systems and completed all masonry and concrete repairs before installing the new fully drained building envelope assemblies. Through phased construction, rigorous quality control, and close attention to waterproofing and detailing, we delivered a modern, low-maintenance exterior while minimizing disruption to residents. The result is a durable, code-compliant façade that enhances both the architectural character and long-term performance of the building.
